<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />June 6, 1906 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />At a special meeting of the Village Council held at the store of R.E. Dare, the following-named were <br />present: <br /> <br />Present: R.E. Dare, President; S.M. Crockett and Justus de Booy, Trustees; H.C. Hastings, <br />Village Recorder. <br /> <br />The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. <br /> <br />th <br />A petition dated June 4 1906 signed by F.N. Corey, S.C. Brown, H.H. Davis, E.A.D. Salter, A.A. <br />Opitz, Carver N. Houlton and A. Malkson was presented, asking for a change in the established <br />grade on Depot Street between Park Street and Minnesota Street, and the grade changed on the said <br />Park Street and Minnesota Street to conform with the change made in the grade on Depot Street. <br /> <br />On motion it was voted that the President take charge of this petition and get legal advice as to the <br />proper course to proceed in the matter contained in the petition. <br /> <br />The Recorder was instructed to furnish to the Star News a copy of the ordinance against bicycle <br />riding on the Village sidewalks and have notice published in said Star News that the said ordinance <br />will be enforced. <br /> <br />On motion the following bills were allowed: <br /> <br />Frank S. Frye; work on streets, etc.; $62.38 <br />M.C. Blanchett; meals, lodging and transportation to poor persons; $2.65 <br />N.J.
