<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />April 23, 1906 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />At a special meeting of the Village Council held at the store of R.E. Dare, the following-named were <br />present: <br /> <br />Present: R.E. Dare, President; S.M. Crockett and W.P. Rhoda, Trustees; H.C. Hastings, <br />Village Recorder. <br /> <br />The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. <br /> <br />Chas. E. Brown, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of the Town of Elk River, and \[sic\] <br />presented a claim for a division of the sum of about $135.00 paid by the town, a portion of which <br />should be refunded to the town by the Village of Elk River, but no definite action was taken in the <br />matter by Council at this meeting, except that the Pt. \[President\] would investigate the matter and <br />bring the matter up before the Council at some future meeting. <br /> <br />Bill of Frank S. Frye for $48.45 for work on sidewalks and streets was presented and on motion <br />allowed. <br /> <br />The Recorder was instructed by a vote of the Council to communicate with the Town Clerk of the <br />Town of Otsego, Minn., asking the Town of Otsego to pay over to Treasurer of the Village of Elk <br />River the sum due from the said town to said village on their appropriation and pledge for the new <br />Elk River and Otsego bridge across the Miss.
