Hastings, Village Recorder <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />January 28, 1905 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />At a meeting of the Common Council of the Village of Elk River held at Romdeune’s Drug Store, <br />the following were present, viz.: <br /> <br />Present: A.H. Nickerson, Pres.; H.B. Nickerson, Trustee; H.C. Hastings, Village Recorder. <br /> <br />The bond of M.C. Blanchett to sell liquor was presented and accepted, and on motion the <br />application of the said Blanchett to sell liquor in the Village of Elk River and described in <br />application was accepted and granted upon his payment of $1500 to the Village Treasurer, subject to <br />all ordinances pertaining thereto. <br /> <br />The official bond of Henry C. Hastings, Village Recorder, in the sum of $200 was presented and <br />accepted by vote of the Council. <br /> <br />The following bills were presented and on motion were allowed: <br /> <br />W.B. Eaton, for services for month of January 1905, $17.50 <br />The Star News, for publishing application of liquor license 2 times, $3.30 <br />Elk River Lumber Co., bill for lumber, $102.01 <br />H.B.
