Chadbourne <br />Village Recorder <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />December 30, 1904 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The Common Council met at Romdeune’s Drug Store December 30, 1904. <br /> <br />Present: A.H. Nickerson, Pres.; J. DeBooy, H.B. Nickerson and J.H. Romdeune, Trustees; <br />W.F. Chadbourne, Village Recorder. <br /> <br />This being the last meeting of the year, the council as board of auditors proceeded to examine the <br />records. The Treasurer having presented his statement, the board compared same with order book <br />and report of Recorder, canceling orders at the same time. Everything was found OK, there being a <br />balance on hand in Treasury of $24.17 with debt outstanding of $648.93. <br /> <br />The following bills were presented and on motion allowed: <br /> <br />Geo. Gooding, testing engine, etc., $2.50 <br />Opitz and Mendenhall, repairing lamps, $1.25 <br />Walter S. Booth and Son, blanks, $3.60 <br />Davis Bros., ore glass, etc., $3.15 <br />W.F. Chadbourne, Recorder’s salary, $35.00 <br />Heebner Mercantile Co., oil, $.65 <br />Charles M. Babcock, rent of engine house \[for\] 1904, $60.00 <br />W.B. Eaton, lighting lamps \[for\] Dec., $15.00 <br />J.H. Romdeune, glass for st. lamps, $.45 <br />Opitz and Mendenhall, goods for engine, $3.66 <br />The Standard Oil Co., gasoline, $4.20 <br /> <br />No further business, board adjourned \[illegible\]. <br /> <br />W.F.
