<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />August 20, 1904 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Village Council met at Romdeune’s Drug Store August 20, 1904. <br /> <br />Present: A.H. Nickerson, Pres.; J. DeBooy and J.H. Romdeune, Trustees; W.F. Chadbourne, <br />Village Recorder. <br /> <br />The following bills were presented and on motion allowed: <br /> <br />Wm. Iliff, street work, $39.75 <br />W.H. Houlton, 250 for 15” tubing, $75.00 <br />W.E.L. Crozier, gasoline for st. lamps, $10.40 <br />Standard Oil Co., gasoline for st. lamps, $8.95 <br />N.G. Lumber Co., lumber for sidewalks, $24.78 <br />E.L. Ward, care of sick person, $2.20 <br />Carr Livery Co., moving fire engine, $2.00 <br />Best St. Lamps Co., burners and \[illegible\], $9.45 <br /> <br />The following resolution was offered by J. DeBooy, which was unanimously adopted: <br /> <br />Resolved: that the Village Council shall have the privilege to refuse to pay any money on sidewalks <br />built without its special permission or under its supervision. <br /> <br />Nothing further appearing, adjourned. <br /> <br />W.F.
