<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />April 12, 1904 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Village Council met at Romdeune’s Drug Store Tuesday, April 12, 1904. <br /> <br />Present: A.H. Nickerson, Pres.; J. DeBooy, H.B. Nickerson and J.H. Romdeune, Trustees; <br />W.F. Chadbourne, Village Recorder. <br /> <br />Prosper Vasser, ferryman, appeared before Council asking for aid in replacing his ferry boat carried <br />away by the ice. After investigating the matter, the Council agreed to give him $25.00 toward <br />repairing boat and also granting his request for license to run boat and fixing his bond at $100.00. <br /> <br />The following bills were on motion allowed: <br /> <br />W.E.L. Crozier, gasoline for lamps, $12.60 <br />C.F. Nickerson, moving fixtures for lamps, $1.00 <br /> <br />The Council instructed Recorder to put notice in paper stating that that \[sic\] Ordinance No. 40 in <br />regard to bicycle riding on sidewalk would be enforced in the future. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />W.F.
