<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />February 15, 1904 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The Common Council met at Romdeune’s Drug Store on Feb. 15, 1904. <br /> <br />Present: A.H. Nickerson, Pres.; J. DeBooy, H.B. Nickerson and J.H. Romdeune, Trustees; <br />W.F. Chadbourne, Village Recorder. <br /> <br />Two bills were presented: One by Geo. Goodin for testing fire engine and work repairing same, amt. <br />$7.00. On motion bill allowed and order drawn for amt. Bill of Can Livery Co. for hauling engine to <br />fire at W. Thorpe, amt. $3.00. On motion bill allowed and order drawn for amount. <br /> <br />C.M. Babcock and W.R. Rhoda appeared before Council asking for a change in telephone franchise. <br />After some discussion, it was decided to lay proposition on the table for the present. <br /> <br />Board adjourned. <br /> <br />W.F.
