<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />July 11, 1903 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Meeting of Council in Recorder’s office at 8:30 P.M. <br /> <br />Present: C.Q. Scoborio, Pres.; Perry Clute, J.E. McBride and A.A. Opitz, Trustees; H.B. <br />Nickerson, Village Recorder. <br /> <br />The following bills \[were\] allowed: <br /> <br />W.B. Eaton, lighting lamps \[for\] month of June and repairs, $20.00 allowed at $17.00 <br />B.N. Thompson, lumber, $8.77 <br />J.E. McBride, expense of com\[mittee\] investigating fire apparatus, $24.00 <br /> <br />On motion Mr. W.H. Houlton was permitted to put in dray scale in front of his brick block on his <br />side of street that is on the side next to his building. <br /> <br />On motion it was decided to purchase one No. 3 Waterous gasoline fire engine: <br /> <br />Ayes: McBride, Opitz, Clute <br />Nays: Nickerson. <br /> <br />On motion the President was instructed to sign contract as presented by Mr. Gibson and copy filed <br />in Recorder’s office. <br /> <br />No further business, stand adjourned. <br /> <br />\[No official sign-off by Recorder.\] <br />
