<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />July 25, 1903 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Meeting of Council in Recorder’s office. Called to order at 8:30. <br /> <br />Present: C.Q. Scoborio, Pres.; Perry Clute, J.E. McBride and A.A. Opitz, Trustees; H.B. <br />Nickerson, Village Recorder. <br /> <br />The following bills \[were\] presented and allowed: <br /> <br />L. Pollard, road work, $705.25 <br />Standard Oil Co., gaso., $8.16 <br />A.A. Opitz, gaso. tank, freight and drayage bbls., $5.56 <br />Herbert Merrifield, moving planks, $3.00 <br />F. Wallace to Fred Mills & Co., sidewalk repairs, $18.00 <br />James Clute, $4.50 <br /> <br />Whereas some question has been raised in case a bridge is built across the Mississippi River between <br />the village of Elk River and the town of Otsego as to who should keep the same in repairs; <br /> <br />Therefore be it resolved by the Common Council of the village that the said Common Council is <br />willing to enter into a mutual contract with either Wright County of the town of Otsego whereby <br />said Elk River shall maintain and keep up two-thirds of the repairs of said bridge and said Wright <br />County or said town of Otsego to maintain one-third of the repairs needed thereon. <br /> <br />The above resolution was on motion adopted. <br /> <br />\[No note re: adjournment or official sign-off by Recorder.\] <br />
