<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />April 25, 1903 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Meeting called to order in Recorder’s office. <br /> <br />Present: C.Q. Scoborio, Pres.; Perry Clute, J.E. McBride and A.A. Opitz, Trustees; H.B. <br />Nickerson, Village Recorder. <br /> <br />The following bills \[were\] allowed: <br /> <br />Standard Oil Co., gaso., $8.32 <br />The Village Improvement Ass’n, $25.00 <br /> <br />Petition presented to appoint a committee to investigate and find what would be the best fire <br />protection and cost of service. <br /> <br />The following committee \[was\] appointed: <br /> <br />Justus DeBooy, Chairman; A. Davis, Chas. Babcock, F.T. White, C.Q. Scoborio, Jas. McBride, N.K. <br />Whittemore, C.S. Wheaton, W.H. Houlton, H.J. Heebner. <br /> <br />Whereas the public favors the use of concrete or cement in the construction of sidewalks in the <br />village of Elk River; <br /> <br />Therefore be it resolved that the Village Council encourage the use of said concrete or cement, and <br />that they assume one third of the cost of construction \[of\] said sidewalk wherever said concrete or <br />cement is used. <br /> <br />\[No note re: adjournment or official sign-off by Recorder.\] <br />
