<br />Filed April 10, 1903: Official oaths of W.F. Chadbourne and L. Pollard as members of Board of <br />Health. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />April 11, 1903 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Meeting called to order in Recorder’s office at 8:00 P.M. <br /> <br />Present: C.Q. Scoborio, Pres.; Perry Clute, J.E. McBride and A.A. Opitz, Trustees; H.B. <br />Nickerson, Village Recorder. <br /> <br />The following bills \[were\] allowed: <br /> <br />W.B. Eaton, lamp lighting \[and\] repairs, $18.00 <br />A.A. Opitz, freight and draying, $.81 <br /> <br />On motion it was decided to appropriate two hundred dollars toward building a road from N.P. <br />Tank to Princeton Street, coming out on Waterman’s South Line and providing that property <br />owners deed to village a right of way. <br /> <br />On motion W.H. Houlton, C.S. Wheaton and N.K. Whittemore were appointed as delegates to go <br />th <br />before the State Railroad Commission on the 16 inst. to remonstrate against raising freight rates <br />between here and Duluth. <br /> <br />\[No note re: adjournment or official sign-off by Recorder.\] <br />
