<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />January 29, 1901 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Meeting called to order at 8 o’clock. <br /> <br />Present: A.N. Dare, President; H.E. Castle, J.S. Guerney, C.S. Wheaton, Trustees; J.H. <br />Romdeune, Recorder. <br /> <br />The following bills were allowed: <br /> <br />Chas. Wheaton, ferry contract, $2.00 <br />A.N. Dare, printing, $7.60 <br />J.H. Romdeune, glass for street lamps, $.75 <br /> <br />On motion the application of V.B. Rubeck for liquor license was accepted and allowed. <br /> <br />On motion the bond of V.B. Rubeck signed by C.F. Stimson, A.H. Nickerson and A.B. DeLaittre <br />was accepted and approved. <br /> <br />On motion the application of Moses Mack for license to sell intoxicating liquors in the Village of <br />Elk River was rejected. <br /> <br />On motion Mr. Dare, Mr. Guerney and Mr. Wheaton were appointed as bridge committee. <br /> <br />No further business, meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />J.H.
