Rec. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />January 3, 1901 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Village Council met at 2 P.M. <br /> <br />Present: H.C. Hastings, President; Henry Castle, J.S. Guerney, J.H. Romdeune; R.E. Dare, <br />Village Recorder. <br /> <br />The following bills were presented and ordered paid: <br /> <br />Romdeune & Co., $.92 <br />A.A. Opitz, $1.10 <br />Hebner Davis & Co., $1.37 <br />D.V. Pratt, $25.00 <br />W.H. Houlton & Co., $8.86 <br />Andrew Davis, $15.00 <br />W.B. Eaton, $15.00 <br />R.E. Dare, $35.00 <br />Best St. Lamp Co., $15.55 <br /> <br />The object of the meeting being to close the business for the year 1900, the Council resolved itself <br />into a Board of Auditors and proceeded to compare orders paid by Treas. with stubs of order book <br />and cancel same. <br /> <br />The report of the Treasurer was presented, audited and found correct. <br /> <br />The Board of Auditors estimated that the following sums were necessary for the ensuing year to <br />meet the expenses of the Village: <br /> <br />Current expenses including outstanding orders $3150.00 <br /> Poor 200.00 <br /> $3350.00 <br /> <br />
