The IEDC is a non-profit, non-partisan membership organization <br />serving economic developers. With more than 4,500 members, IEDC is the largest organization of its <br />kind. This year, the city of Elk River is submitting two applica <br /> <br />The General Purpose Print Brochure Award <br />This award recognizes a brochure introducing your state, province, community, region, or area to <br />prospects for industrial, commercial, retail, or general develop <br />brochures create a positive image of the area for its quality of life and cultural, educational, or other <br />attributes. The city will be submitting their Signature Packet which includes our community profile and <br />industry specific sell sheets. <br />Young Economic Development Professional of the Year <br />This award recognizes outstanding achievements by a young, emerging leader in the economic <br />development profession. Applicants must self-nominate and should detail their significant career <br />achievements to date and the impact of those achievements on the <br />and the community as a whole, and also explain how they see these achievements contribute to the <br />advancement of economic development as a profession. Each self-nomination should be accompanied by <br />a minimum of one, and not more than three, letters of endorsement on behalf of the applicant, from their <br />supervisor, board chair, or other significant leader in the community who is actively involved with the <br />applicantÔs organization. Applicants must be no more than 35 years of age on the deadline submission <br />date set by IEDC for that yearÔs awards competition in order to <br />their date of birth on their application. This is the last year that I would qualify for this prestigious award. <br />The IEDC will announce the award winners at the 2017 IEDC Annual Conference in Toronto, ON on <br />September 17-20, 2017. If selected to receive the award, funding for conference and travel expenses will <br />come from the General Fund budget. <br /> <br /> <br />
