<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />February 27, 1900 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Village Council met and was called to order by Pres. Hastings at 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />Present: H.C. Hastings, President; Henry Castle, J.S. Guerney, J.H. Romdeune; R.E. Dare, <br />Village Recorder. <br /> <br />The following bills were allowed and warrant ordered drawn: <br /> <br />A.N. Dare, $1.50 <br />R.E. Dare, $1.00 <br />Harry Babcock, $15.00 <br /> <br />On motion the Recorder was ordered to draw warrant of $40.00 for Marshal’s salary and hand to <br />him March 10, 1900. <br /> <br />Mr. Romdeune was instructed to procure a man to remove cage from Babcock building, gather up <br />all the tools, etc., belonging to the Village and put them in Houlton & Co.’s lumber shed. <br /> <br />The communication of F.M. Walker making application to be appointed to the position of Village <br />Marshal was laid on the table. <br /> <br />The communication from the Secy., State Board of Health, was read and the Recorder instructed to <br />answer same. <br /> <br />On motion Mr. Romdeune was added to the bridge committee and that said committee have full <br />power to act in the repair and painting. The committee is Guerney and Romdeune. <br /> <br />No further business appearing, we adjourned till Tuesday evening, March 13, 1900. <br /> <br />R.E. Dare, V. Rec. <br /> <br />
