Babcock, Village Recorder <br /> <br />Filed January 14, 1899: Application of V.B. Rubeck to sell intoxicating liquors in Village. Chas. M. <br />Babcock, Recorder <br /> <br />Filed January 28, 1899: Official oath of H.C. Hastings as President of Council, C.T. Nickerson as <br />Trustee, Chas M. Babcock \[as\] Recorder, H.D. Mills \[as\] Trustee. Chas. M. Babcock, Recorder <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />January 28, 1899 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Common Council met at the County Treasurer’s office at 7:30 o’clock P.M. <br /> <br />Present: H.C. Hastings, Pres.; C.T. Nickerson, H.D. Mills, Trustees; Chas. M. Babcock, <br />Recorder. <br /> <br />This being the date fixed for acting on the applications for licenses, the Council proceeded with <br />same. <br /> <br />The application of Moses Mack and J.E. Champion for license to sell intoxicating liquors in the <br />Village of Elk River was taken up. <br /> <br />The following resolution was carried: <br /> <br />Whereas Messrs. Moses Mack and J.E. Champion having made application to the Council of the <br />Village of Elk River for a license to sell intoxicating liquors in the Village of Elk River, State of <br />Minnesota, <br /> <br />Be it resolved by the said Council of the said Village of Elk River that when the payment of $750.00 <br />to the Village Treasurer and furnishing a bond as provided by the Statutes of the State of Minnesota <br />in such cases provided the said application be granted. <br /> <br />The application of V.B. Rubeck for license to sell intoxicating liquors in the Village of Elk River was <br />taken up and on motion allowed and bond accepted when properly stamped. <br /> <br />The following bills were presented and on motion allowed: <br /> <br />
