Chadbourne, Village Recorder <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />February 5, 1897 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Common Council met at the Recorder’s Office February 5, 1897. <br /> <br />Present: Henry C. Hastings, President; F.P. Brown and L. Pollard, Trustees; W.F. <br />Chadbourne, Recorder. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by President at 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />The application of Morneau and Blanchett for license to sell intoxicating liquors in the Village of Elk <br />River was taken up and, no bond being presented or person appearing to represent said parties, on <br />motion the said application was unanimously rejected. <br /> <br />The application of Moses Mack for license to sell intoxicating liquors in the Village of Elk River was <br />taken up and, as no bond was presented or person appearing for said party, on motion said <br />application was duly rejected. <br /> <br />Recorder was instructed to return money accompanying said applications according to printed <br />instructions on applications. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 9:15. <br /> <br />W.F.
