<br />Filed June 20, 1895: Bill of Fred Stimson <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />July 22, 1895 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The Common Council met in special session at 8 o’clock at Chas. S. Wheaton’s office. <br /> <br />Present: Chas S. Wheaton, President; Fred Hildreth, Trustee; Andrew Davis, Recorder. <br /> <br />The following resolutions were presented and on motion were adopted: <br /> <br />Resolved that the sum of $25.00 be appropriated in payment of the share of the Village of Elk River <br />for maintaining a free ferry across the Mississippi River at Elk River (known as lower ferry) for <br />month ending July 22, 1895, order payable to J.G. Gray. <br /> <br />Resolved that the sum of $25.00 be appropriated in payment of the share of Village of Elk River for <br />maintaining a free ferry across Mississippi River at Otsego (known as upper ferry) for month ending <br />July 26, 1895, order payable to M.E.
