Wheaton, President, 1895 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />January 31, 1895 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Council met in Special Session for the purpose of organizing for the ensuing year. <br /> <br />Present: Chas. S. Wheaton, President; J.F. Lewis; Andrew Davis, Recorder <br /> <br />Each member had taken the oath of office according to law. <br /> <br />Minutes of the last meeting read and approved. <br /> <br />The bonds of Andrew Davis as Recorder and Henry Castle as Treasurer were presented and on <br />motion were accepted, approved and ordered to be filed according to law. <br /> <br />On motion the following bills were allowed: <br /> <br />D.R. Houlton, $2.00 for Judge Election <br />J.F. Lewis, $2.00 for Judge Election <br /> <br />On motion the meeting adjourned to the Recorder’s office Saturday evening, February 2, at 7:30 <br />o’clock. <br /> <br />Andrew Davis <br />Recorder <br /> <br /> <br />
