Barrett <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />April 30,1894 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Council met in regular session. <br /> <br />Present: D.R. Houlton, President; A. Davis; F.W. Hildreth; J.F. Lewis; E.E. Bryant, <br />Recorder. <br /> <br />Minutes of last meeting read and approved <br /> <br />The fill of S.W. Barrett, $1.50, hauling snow for crossings, was in motion allowed. <br /> <br />Complaint having been made to the Council in regard to the riding of bicycles upon the village <br />sidewalks, in motion the following resolution was adopted: <br /> <br />Resolved, that riders of bicycles and other machines of like character are request to refrain from the <br />use of the sidewalk while riding; and further <br /> <br />Resolved, that if this request is not complied with, and further complaints are made, an ordinance <br />prohibiting such use of the sidewalks will be passed by the Council and strictly enforced. <br /> <br />On motion adjourned. <br /> <br />E.E.
