<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />January 12, 1893 <br /> <br />Council met at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Present: D.R. Houlton, President; S.S. Trask; W.E. Corry; F.W. Hildreth; and E.E. Bryant <br /> <br />Each member took the official oath according to law. <br /> <br />On motion the Sheriff’s Office at the Court House was designated as the place of meeting of this <br />Council and the last Saturday evening of each month was named as the regular meeting night. <br /> <br />On motion John Hayward was appointed Poundmaster and Lot 10, 11 & 12 Block 7 of W.H. <br />Houlton’s Addition to Elk River were designated as a pound. <br /> <br />On motion the official bond of Henry Castle as Village Treasurer was accepted, approved and <br />ordered filed with the Recorder for record. <br /> <br />The President appointed the following Committees: <br /> On Streets: Hildreth & Trask <br /> On Bridge Corry <br /> <br />On motion, adjourned to January 28 at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Attest: E.E.
