<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />October 21, 1892 <br /> <br />Council met in special session. <br /> <br />Present: D.R. Houlton, N.K. Whittman, J.F. Lewis, and E.E. Bryant <br /> <br />In the absence of President Wheaton, on motion D.R. Houlton was appointed Chairman pro-tem. <br /> <br />The resignation of Chas. S. Wheaton as President of the Council was read and on motion laid over <br />until the next meeting. <br /> <br />On motion W.B. Eaton, G.B. Upshaw and Geo. W. Libby were appointed as a Board of Health, <br />whose terms shall expire on the second Tuesday in January 1893. W.B. Eaton was made Health <br />Officer with a salary of $50 from now until the expiration of his term of office. <br /> <br />The bill of W.H. Houlton, $251.71, for lumber and tiling was presented and on motion allowed. <br /> <br />On motion, adjourned. <br /> <br />Attest: E.E.
