<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />January 4, 1892 <br /> <br />Council met at Recorder’s office at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Present: C.S. Wheaton - President, N.K. Whittman, D.R. Houlton, E.E. Bryant <br /> <br />An ordinance establishing grades on certain streets in the Village of Elk River, Sherburne County, <br />was presented. Motion made that the said ordinance be adopted and published according to law. <br />Ayes: Wheaton, Houlton, Whittman & Bryant. Nays: none. The said ordinance was accordingly <br />adopted and ordered published. <br /> <br />The following bills were presented and on motion, allowed: <br /> <br /> L.L. Chaffin, repairing grades, etc. $ 2.80 <br /> W.H. Houlton, lumber for Elk River bridge $87.09 <br /> E.E. Bryant, Recorder’s salary and blanks $35.40 <br /> Will Gliff, work on streets $13.25 <br /> <br />The Council proceeded to compare all orders drawn for the yar and finding all correct, the same <br />were cancelled. <br /> <br />On motion, adjourned to Friday, January 8, at 2:00 p.m.. <br /> <br />Attest: E.E.
