<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />JANUARY 24, 1890 <br /> <br />Council met at the Recorders Office at 8:00 p.m <br /> <br />Present: Wm. E. Cory, K.H. Burrell, L.L. Baker <br /> <br />The following persons qualified _ viz _: <br /> <br /> President – D.R. Houlton <br /> Trustees - Wm. E. Cory <br /> K.H. Barrell <br /> John Jameson <br /> Recorder - L.L. Baker <br /> Treasurer - M.J. Castello <br /> Justice of Peace – B.A. Latta <br /> <br />On motion, Wm. E. Cory was elected President Pro-Tem. On motion, the application of J.P. Taylor <br />for a liquor license was laid over till next Monday night at 7:30 and when the Council adjourned it <br />till that time. <br /> <br />The bond of M.J. Castilla – the Treasurer – was read and on motion, approved. <br /> <br />The bond of the Recorder and of B.A. Latta – a Justice of the Peace – were laid over till next <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Nothing further, the Council on motion adjourned. <br /> <br />Attest: L.L.
