<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />JANUARY 27, 1890 <br /> <br />Council met at the Recorders Office at 7:30 p.m <br /> <br />Present: D.R. Houlton, Wm. E. Cory, John Jameson, L.L. Baker <br /> <br />Minutes of last meeting read and approved. <br /> <br />The question of granting a liquor license to J.P. Taylor, which was laid over from last meeting, was <br />taken up and on motion was granted by a unanimous vote of those present. <br /> <br />The bond of B.A. Latta as a Justice of the Pease – also the bond of L.L. Baker, Recorder – were <br />approved by a full vote of the Council. <br /> <br />The last Saturday night of each month was agreed upon for holding the regular meetings of the <br />Council. <br /> <br />There being no further business, the Council adjourned. <br /> <br />Attest: L.L.
