RESOLUTION NO. 17-5 <br /> BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> ELK RIVER MUNICIPAL UTILITIES <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF ELK RIVER <br /> MUNICIPAL UTILITIES ALLOWING FOR CUSTOMER CONTRIBUTIONS <br /> OF ACCOUNT CREDITS TO COMMUNITY AID OF ELK RIVER(CAER). <br /> WHEREAS, CAER is a charitable program that partners with public and private utilities <br /> in Elk River to receive private donations that help those in need survive the long <br /> Minnesota winters by providing funds for heating bills. <br /> WEREAS,Elk River Municipal Utilities customers have requested that their credit <br /> balances be donated to a charitable program rather than returned to the customer. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> OF ELK RIVER MUNICIPAL UTILITIES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Credit balances over$5, if requested by the customer who is entitled to refund of the <br /> credit balance, may be donated by the customer to CAER. Elk River Municipal Utilities <br /> staff are authorized to transfer credit balances of$5 or less directly to CAER. <br /> This Resolution Passed and Adopted this 11th day of April, 2017. <br /> 40 <br /> . , <br /> Jo r' J.
