EOty1� ,.,�� Request for Action <br /> River <br /> To Item Number <br /> Mayor and City Council 4.6 <br /> Agenda Section Meeting Date Prepared by <br /> Consent Aril 17, 2017 Justin Femrite, P.E., City Engineer <br /> Item Description Reviewed by <br /> Accept Bids and Award Contract for 2017 Trail Cal Portner, City Administrator <br /> Improvement Project Reviewed by <br /> Action Requested <br /> Approve,by motion, the low bid and authorize the execution of a contract with North Valley,Inc. for the <br /> construction of the 2017 Trail Improvement project. <br /> Background/Discussion <br /> Based on improvements detailed in the Parks Capital Improvement Plan to be completed in 2017, staff <br /> has developed plans, advertised and received bids for the construction of the 2017 Trail Improvement <br /> Project. Bids were received on April 10, 2017. There were a total of 4 bids received that ranged from <br /> $94,232.03 to $127,485.25. A tabulation of the bids is attached. The low bid was submitted by North <br /> Valley,Inc. <br /> Upon contract approval, staff will work with the North Valley to finalize a refined schedule for the work <br /> in 2017. <br /> Financial Impact <br /> The bids for this project came in below budget estimates for the work.
