He has interviewed <br />ten candidates and will be forwarding this information to Finance Director <br />Lori Johnson and I later in the week of March 1. Lori and I will be reviewing <br />this material and will be meeting with Jim in the afternoon of March 8 in <br />order to select the top five or so candidates for i,nterviews. Only the candidates <br />being interviewed are public information. However, the information on the top <br />10 applicants are available for City Council review if desired. <br /> <br />Planning Commission Chair (also former assistant Sherburne County engineer <br />and current Brooklyn Park city engineer) Doran Cote has volunteered to be <br />part of the interview team. Planning Commissioner Louise Kuester was part <br />of the interview team last fall when we were looking to fill the city planner <br />position. Louise has volunteered to sit in on the interview team once again. <br />Councilmember Thompson was also a member of the interview team last fall. <br />At this meeting, council representation (one or two members) should be <br />identified to help in the selection process. Once the members have been <br />selected or volunteered, then we need to establish interview dates and it is <br />hopeful that the interviews can take place before Easter. During the day on <br />Tuesday, March 30, or Wednesday, March 31, are currently the two best <br />possibilities for interviews. It is anticipated that one top candidate will be <br />selected from this process for consideration by the City Council. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />13065 Orono Parkway · P.O.
