<br />Meeting of the Elk River City Council <br />Held at the Elk River City Hall <br /> <br />Tuesday, January 17, 2017 <br /> <br />Members Present: Mayor Dietz, Councilmembers Olsen, Ovall, Westgaard, and Wagner <br /> <br />Members Absent: None <br /> <br />Staff Present: City Administrator Calvin Portner, City Attorney Peter Beck, Park <br />Planner Chris Leeseberg, Planner BrieAnna Simon, Parks and <br />Recreation Director Michael Hecker, Parks Superintendent Tim <br />Sevcik, and Executive Secretary/Deputy City Clerk Jessica Miller <br /> <br />1. Call Meeting to Order <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River City Council <br />was called to order at 6:10 p.m. by Mayor Dietz. <br /> <br />2. Pledge of Allegiance <br /> <br /> The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. <br /> <br />3. Consider 01/17/2017 Agenda <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Westgaard and seconded by Councilmember <br />Olsen to approve the January 17, 2017, agenda. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br />4. Consider Consent Agenda <br /> <br /> Mayor Dietz questioned if the city obtains pricing from local dealers for the police <br />vehicles. Mr. Portner advised the city purchases straight from the state contract due <br />to the specialized nature of the vehicles. He noted local dealers have the option to <br />bid on the state contract. <br /> <br /> Moved by Councilmember Westgaard and seconded by Councilmember <br />Olsen to approve the following consent agenda: <br /> <br /> 4.1 January 3, 2017, minutes. <br /> 4.2 Check register, check numbers 99856-99976 as outlined in the staff <br /> report. <br /> 4.3 Pay estimates as outlined in staff report. <br />4.4 Resolution 17-04 acknowledging contributions to the Parks and <br />Recreation Department from Zimmerman Fire Relief Association. <br />4.5 Temporary on-sale liquor license: Elk River Lions Club for Shiver Elk <br />River. <br />4.6 Resolution 17-05 acknowledging contributions to the Police <br />Department from various groups and organizations. <br /> <br />
