The appointment and /or removal of committee members are at the discretion
of the EDA. All committees may not be necessary for 2016.
Currently, the EDA hosts one subcommittee, the Finance Committee and recently created a second
subcommittee, the City Beautification Committee. The Finance Committee provides the EDA with a
technical and politically neutral analysis of applications including microloan, tax abatement, and tax
increment financing applications. They meet on an as- needed basis, generally before the work day or
during lunch. Other committees identified in the Bylaws for Marketing, Prospecting, and Research and
Development are not established.
The Finance Committee consists of 7 members: 2 EDA members and at large members representing
various constituencies, including banking, real estate, law, and the general community. Jim Gromberg
was recently appointed to the EDA finance committee at the December 19 work session. Current
members are:
EDA: Dan Tveite
EDA: Nate Ovall
Banking: Chad Vitzthum
Banking: Nate Ovall
Law: Open
Real Estate: Ryan Hardin
At Large: Larry Toth
At Large: Jim Gromberg
The newly created City Beautification Committee serves to recognize business owners who have made an
effort to clean, repair, improve, and enhance the overall aesthetics of their property to maintain the beauty
of their neighborhood. This committee encourages community improvements while enhancing our city's
visual image and economic vitality. They meet on a monthly basis, generally during lunch.
B'01WIRE0 0I
A
