Elk River <br /> Municipal Utilities UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br /> TO: FROM: <br /> Elk River Municipal Utilities Commission Eric Volk- Water Superintendent <br /> John Dietz—Chair <br /> Al Nadeau— Vice Chair <br /> Daryl Thompson—Trustee <br /> MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br /> January 10, 2017 6.1e <br /> SUBJECT: <br /> Staff Update <br /> DISCUSSION: <br /> • Delivered five new water meters. <br /> • Sealed the water meter, and took curb stop ties from five water services. <br /> • Went on eight service calls. <br /> • Completed 25 BACTI/Total Chlorine Residual Samples <br /> o All confirmed negative for Coliform Bacteria. <br /> • Completed 20 routine fluoride samples <br /> o All samples met MDH standards. <br /> • The Minnesota Department of Health(MDH) completed the 18 month sanitary survey. <br /> Our district engineer did not find any violations. The MDH recommended that we <br /> continue our annual leak detection program. <br /> • Municipal Builders, Inc. (MBI) has started to install the support media into the filter at <br /> WTP#7. This process will take a few days. After the installment of the support media, <br /> they will install the filter media. We are still on track for an early February startup. <br /> • The water operators have nearly completed the preparation of WTP#4 for blasting and <br /> painting.
