Elk River <br /> Municipal Utilities UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br /> TO: FROM: <br /> Elk River Municipal Utilities Commission Mark Fuchs—Electric Superintendent <br /> John Dietz—Chair <br /> Al Nadeau—Vice Chair <br /> Daryl Thompson—Trustee <br /> MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br /> January 10, 2017 6.1c <br /> SUBJECT: <br /> Staff Update <br /> DISCUSSION: <br /> • Had four new services. <br /> • Continue working on collecting data with the GPS for our ArcView maps as time <br /> permits. <br /> • Continue the tear down of the old infrastructure in River Ranch development. <br /> • Finished feeder 42 line extension. <br /> • Finished making up the underground infrastructure on Quantrelle Avenue in Otsego. This <br /> is to feed the Nystrom building. We also hooked up the temporary service for the <br /> building. <br /> • Presidential Estates rebuild is on hold until spring when the frost comes out. <br /> • Finished replacing some LED light fixtures on Jackson Avenue and School Street. We <br /> are going to be changing out the lights on Twin Lakes Road to LED next. <br /> • Changed out fourteen lights to LED for the City on the walk bridge over Hwy 169 by the <br /> Freeport water tower. <br /> • A vehicle went off the road on County Road 39 and hit a single phase pole in Otsego. We <br /> were able to temporary it and replace the pole the following day. <br /> • Had to replace a street light pole on Vance Circle that was struck by a vehicle. <br /> • Started tree trimming. <br /> • Started rebuilding 165th Ave;this is in Area 2 that we recently acquired from Connexus. <br /> • Completed inventory count and are now working with the office to ensure the accuracy. <br /> • Scott Thoreson, Darren Weber and Jared Rolstad attended the MMUA Transformer <br /> School December 13-16 in Marshall, MN. <br /> • Tom Geiser and I attended the Technical & Operations Conference that Minnesota <br /> Municipal Utilities Association (MMUA)held in St. Cloud, MN. They had some very <br /> good speakers.
