The solar powered picnic <br /> table is in the final stages of design. The table will be placed in Lake Orono Park. The <br /> Youth committee continues to grow in numbers and may begin a partnership with St. <br /> Anthony Village Middle School. Staff attended a special joint informational meeting with <br /> the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission and the Minnesota Environment Quality <br /> Board. The topic of the meeting was Germany's Energy Transition: Lessons Learned and <br /> the Next Steps. <br /> • ERMU is now a participant in the EPA partnership program called Water Sense®. This <br /> partnership focuses on promoting water conservation and efficiency. This partnership is <br /> similar to the EnergyStar®partnership for electricity. In addition to smart irrigation <br /> controllers, ERMU will now offer water efficiency rebates for clothes washers, <br /> dishwashers, toilets, and faucets that meet the Water Sense criteria and are labeled with <br /> the logo. Attached is the new 2017 Water Conservation Rebate Application. <br /> • ERMU has received and accepted the American Public Power Association Demonstration <br /> of Energy & Efficiency Development Program (APPA DEED Grant) for electric vehicle <br /> charging stations and fleet vehicle assessments for the utilities and City. <br /> • Staff is in the process of evaluating equipment and service providers for the electric <br /> vehicle charging stations that will consist of one 480 volt, and one 240 volt station. The <br /> evaluation should be completed by December 31, 2016. <br /> • Staff met with representatives from ChargePoint to discuss the details of the equipment <br /> purchases and master services agreement. Staff has consulted with legal counsel and is <br /> working through the details to get the contracts and purchase agreements completed by <br /> December 31, 2016. <br /> • ERMU staff and the Utilities Commission completed the evaluation of lighting contest <br /> participants.
