Park dedication shall be accept in the form of 4.70 acres of land, and; <br /> 2. Shall be similar to the July 13, 2016 Parks and Recreation Commission Sketch Plan;and <br /> 3. Park dedication, for 45 lots, shall be paid in the form of cash. <br /> Background/Discussion <br /> During their work session meeting on July 13,2016,the Parks and Recreation Commission,reviewed the <br /> size, configuration, and possible uses of the proposed park area as well as the area beneath the power line <br /> corridor. <br /> After lengthy discussion of the property under the powerline corridor, the unknown final topography of <br /> the proposed park,possible uses, and parking lots versus on-street parking, the commission <br /> recommended the following in regards to design/layout and park dedication. <br /> Design and Layout <br /> More street frontage is needed along the park to provide for on-street parking. It was agreed that the <br /> street frontage from the 2004 Preliminary Plat was still preferred. They did not like the introduction of <br /> the extra park land area that was tucked behind the backyards of the proposed lots. They did not like so <br /> many lots backing up to the park property. They also want to see the park open up more onto 188`" <br /> Avenue. These recommendations can be seen on the attached exhibit"July 13, 2016 Parks and <br /> Recreation Commission Sketch Plan" <br /> Park Dedication <br /> Park dedication continues to be in the form of 4.70 acres of land with the remaining portion paid in cash <br /> for 45 lots. <br /> After the July 13,2016 Parks and Recreation meetings, staff emailed the applicant on July 15, 2016 <br /> requesting that if they make any revisions per the direction given at the July 13 meeting, to provide the <br /> revisions to staff by August 1, 2016 to include in packet.
