Selection of Marketing Consultant <br /> The Marketing Committee is scheduled to meet prior to the EDA <br /> meeting to conduct an interview with each of the two potential <br /> marketing consultants and subsequently make a recommendation to <br /> • the EDA. Two members have been added to the Marketing Committee <br /> in addition to the five originally appointed by the EDA. The Marketing <br /> Committee now consists of the following people: <br /> • Jim Barthel, Elk River Machine <br /> • Gary Santwire, Rivers Crossing, Inc. <br /> • Chris Carlson, Sportech, Inc. <br /> • Renee Sande, Elk River Area Chamber of Commerce <br /> • Dr. David Flannery, School District #728 <br /> • Jim Simpson, Bank of Elk River <br /> • Daryl Thompson, EDA/Council <br /> Attached to this memo is the Marketing Committee agenda for their <br /> Monday, December 13 meeting, and a letter that was sent to the <br /> Marketing Committee on November 4, 1999. <br /> After discussions with the individual Marketing Committee members, <br /> it may be appropriate to allow more time for a recommendation from <br /> the Marketing Committee on selection of a consultant. Should the <br /> Marketing Committee not be able to make a recommendation <br /> immediately following the interviews, then staff will propose that they <br /> • meet again at a later date and bring forward a recommendation to the <br /> EDA at its meeting on January 10, 2000. <br /> 13065 Orono Parkway • P.O.
