Through a number of business services, MN Technology, Inc. helps <br /> companies create more effective manufacturing processes,improve communications, <br /> increase efficiency, expand market opportunities and develop corporate growth strategies. <br /> Julie Vreeland, MN Technology's Director of Community Technology Development,will be <br /> present at the EDA meeting to participate in the discussion. <br /> Overview <br /> Staff has taken an active role to create a resource from MN Technology that can be utilized <br /> by industrial prospects and Elk River manufacturers. The goal is two-fold: to create stronger <br /> technology-driven industrial companies by assisting existing companies and by providing a <br /> valued service to industrial prospects. During staff's discussions with MTI,it was evident <br /> that both the city and MTI have similar goals. <br /> By utilizing the existing and new programs of MTI, a relationship is being fostered whereby <br /> economic development staff would suggest MTI's services to industrial siting and expansion <br /> prospects. The services that would be available to such businesses are outlined in the <br /> attached MTI materials. Generally MTI's services include: <br /> • Lean Enterprise <br /> • Information Technology <br /> • New Product Development <br /> • Business Intelligence and Market Research Services <br /> • • Customized Technology Training Services <br />
