Elk River <br /> Municipal Utilities UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br /> TO: FROM: <br /> Elk River Municipal Utilities Commission Mark Fuchs—Electric Superintendent <br /> John Dietz—Chair <br /> Al Nadeau—Vice Chair <br /> Daryl Thompson—Trustee <br /> MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br /> December 8, 2015 6.1c <br /> SUBJECT: <br /> Staff Update <br /> DISCUSSION: <br /> • Had three new services. <br /> • Continue working on collecting data with the GPS for our ArcView maps as time <br /> permits. <br /> • Put rebuilding River Ranch in Otsego on hold until spring. <br /> • Finished replacing stickers and locks on the equipment in the Connexus acquisition area. <br /> • Hooked up the permanent service for Sportech in Natures Edge Business Park. <br /> • Continue rebuilding Ulysses and 171St Avenue. This will bring a feeder line closer to the <br /> businesses in Natures Edge Business Park. <br /> • Finished redoing some of the infrastructure in the West Oaks 5th, 7th and 8th Additions. <br /> This was originally platted for townhomes but the developer changed it to single family <br /> homes. <br /> • We are helping the City's Street Department trim trees that are in the road right of way. <br /> • Attended the Technical &Operations Conference that Minnesota Municipal Utilities <br /> Association(MMUA)held in St. Cloud. They had some very good speakers. A few of the <br /> section's I attended were: Building and Leading Successful Teams, Developing and <br /> Maintaining Your Rate Structure, Transformer and Power Cable Specifications,APPA <br /> Rodeo Update and an MMUA update. <br /> • I am on the Advisory Board for the Electrical Line Worker Technology Program at <br /> Minnesota State Community and Technical College in Wadena.
