The addition will house a new filter, increasing capacity in the service area of <br />treatment plant #7. Proposed building materials and styles reflect the existing structure, and site <br />improvements beyond the building footprint are not required. Construction is anticipated to begin March 1, <br />2016. <br />City ordinance section 30-797 requires approval from City Council prior to construction of essential services <br />in any zoning district. <br />Essential services may be located in any district subject to compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and <br />ordinances. Prior to the commencement of construction, installation or condemnation, plans for the proposed essential <br />service activity shall be submitted to and reviewed by the council.
