Land Use Amendment to Change Land <br />Reviewed by <br />Use from Development <br />Cal Portner, City Administrator <br />Reserve/Mining/Residential to <br />Highway Business/Minn <br />Action Requested <br />Adopt, by motion, a resolution amending the Comprehensive Plan to change the land use from <br />Development Reserve/Mining/Residential to Highway Business /Mining. <br />Background/Discussion <br />Case No. LU 15-08 <br />The applicant is requesting a Land Use Amendment and Zone Change (ZC 15-11) in order to expand <br />their extreme commercial recreation uses. <br />The property has a land use designation of Development Reserve/Mining/Residential and the applicant <br />has requested to amend to comprehensive plan to guide the property for development as Highway <br />Business/Mining. <br />In order for the properties to be rezoned, as requested by the applicant, the underlying land use needs to <br />support the proposed zoning district, which it currently does not. The proposed Highway <br />Business/Mining land use will accomplish this and is an appropriate land use for the location. <br />Current <br />Proposed <br />The Gravel Mining Area Land Use, Transportation, and Utility Plan identify the subject property as Highway <br />Business and Residential, and identify collector streets to improve circulation within the developed area. <br />P 0 W I R 1 0 8r <br />Template Updated 4/14 A TUR E <br />
