City of <br /> El Request for Action <br /> River <br /> To Item Number <br /> Housing and Redevelopment Authority 7.3 <br /> Agenda Section Meeting Date Prepared by <br /> General Business February 1, 2016 Amanda Othoudt, EDD <br /> Item Description Reviewed by <br /> 2015 Housing Study Presentation Cal Portner, City Administrator <br /> Reviewed by <br /> Action Requested <br /> Hear presentation from Maxfield Research on the updated 2015 housing study. <br /> Background/Discussion <br /> At their June 1, 2015,meeting, the HRA authorized entering into an agreement with Maxfield Research to <br /> conduct a comprehensive housing study to assist in determining availability of different segments of <br /> housing in Elk River and in planning for the future of the housing market in the community. <br /> Vice President Matt Mullins and Research Analyst Brian Smith of Maxfield Research will present the <br /> results of the Housing Study to the HRA and City Council. The last housing study was conducted in <br /> 2012. An executive summary of the analysis can be found on pages 1-5 of the report. <br /> Staff has invited several local developers,various civic organizations and community members to attend <br /> the event.
