Minutes of the Sherburne/Wright County Cable Commission <br /> • Thursday, February 03, 2011, 1:00 p.m. <br /> Delano City Hall <br /> Present: Chair Phil Kern, Commissioners Myles McGrath,Cathy Shuman,Luke Fischer,Don <br /> Levens,Nancy Carswell,Gina Wolbeck,and Tina Allard <br /> Absent: Commissioners Mert Auger and Linda Hruby <br /> Also present: Technology Consultant Bill Bruce,Video Production Coordinator Mark Davis,and <br /> Attorney Bob Vose <br /> 1. Call to Order <br /> Chair Kern called the meeting to order at 1:00 p.m. <br /> 2. Approval of Minutes <br /> Mr.Bruce requested to replace the word"other"with the word"our"on page 2 under Section <br /> 8a. <br /> MOVED BY COMMISSIONER MCGRATH AND SECONDED BY <br /> COMMISSIONER CARSWELL TO APPROVE THE AUGUST 5,2010 MINUTES <br /> WITH THE NOTED AMENDMENT. MOTION CARRIED 8-0. <br /> • 3. Election of Officers <br /> a. Chair <br /> MOVED BY COMMISSIONER LEVENS AND SECONDED BY <br /> COMMISSION SHUMAN TO APPOINT COMMISSIONER MCGRATH AS <br /> THE CHAIR TO FEBRUARY 7,2013. MOTION CARRIED 8-0. <br /> b. Vice Chair <br /> MOVED BY COMMISSIONER CARSWELL AND SECONDED BY <br /> COMMISSIONER MCGRATH TO APPOINT COMMISSIONER SHUMAN AS <br /> THE VICE CHAIR TO FEBRUARY 7,2013. MOTION CARRIED 8-0. <br /> c. Treasurer <br /> It was noted that the joint powers agreement stated there are term limits on officer <br /> appointments but that it would be logistically difficult to transfer the treasurer duties. <br /> Attorney Vose stated that the City of Buffalo acts as the fiscal agent for the commission <br /> so it would make sense to have Commissioner Auger maintain the status of treasurer. <br /> MOVED BY COMMISSIONER ALLARD AND SECONDED BY <br /> COMMISSIONER LEVENS TO APPOINT COMMISSIONER AUGER AS <br /> THE TREASURER TO FEBRUARY 7 2013.
