NW, Reviewed by <br /> Public Hearing <br /> Action Requested <br /> As there currently is an active Interim Use Permit on the property for three temporary structures set to <br /> expire on June 1,2017,recommend, by motion, approval of the Interim Use Permit with the following <br /> conditions: <br /> 1. The temporary structure on the south side of the building shall be removed before the proposed <br /> structure can be placed on the property. <br /> 2. The Interim Use Permit for all temporary structures shall expire on June 1, 2017. <br /> 3. No further Interim Use Permits for temporary structures shall be granted for the property. <br /> Background/Discussion <br /> Case No. CU 15-18 <br /> The applicant is requesting their fifth extension to their Interim Use Permit (IUP) for temporary <br /> classroom structures. They are proposing adding a third structure on the north side of the church <br /> replacing the existing 16'x 80' structure located on the south side of the church,which is expected to be <br /> removed by November 1, 2015. <br /> The two 12' x 56' structures on the north side of the church are set to expire on June 1, 2017, and were <br /> approved by the City Council on June 2, 2014. They are asking that all three of the structures have IUP's <br /> that expire on September 1, 2019. <br /> To date, the applicant has had temporary structures on the property for 11 years and,if the current <br /> request is approved,would have an IUP authorizing temporary structures for a total of 15 years (2004- <br /> 2019). <br /> Analysis <br /> Currently there are three temporary structures on the property with at total area of 2,624 square feet. The <br /> proposed structure is smaller than the one being removed and would result in reduction of 608 square <br /> feet of temporary accessory space. <br /> The temporary 16' x 80' structure on the south side of the building has a condition from the previous <br /> IUP extension (CU 15-18) that is shall not be granted any future IUPs, and must be removed by June 1, <br /> 2017. If the current IUP were to be denied, all of the existing structures would be authorized to remain <br /> until June 1, 2017. <br /> ► 1NEHED 11'E <br /> JA 'UR <br />
