Call Meeting To Order <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the special meeting of the Elk River <br /> Housing and Redevelopment Authority was called to order at 6 p.m. by Chair <br /> Kropuenske. <br /> 2. Consider Agenda <br /> Item 4a., 2001 Arts Alliance,was added to the agenda. <br /> COMMISSIONER FARBER MOVED TO APPROVE THE AGENDA AS AMENDED. <br /> • COMMISSIONER WILSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 3. Consider Consent Agenda <br /> COMMISSIONER FARBER MOVED TO APPROVE THE CONSENT AGENDA AS <br /> FOLLOWS: <br /> 3.1. CHECK REGISTER-APPROVED <br /> 3.2. 3/10/98 JOINT MEETING MINUTES-APPROVED <br /> 3.3. 4/27/98 HRA MINUTES-APPROVED <br /> COMMISSIONER TOTH SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 4. Discuss Results of Interview Sessions <br /> The HRA discussed presentations that were previously given by Jim Brimeyer of <br /> The Brimeyer Group and Theresa Washburn of Washburn &Associates. Both <br /> presenters are potential facilitators for the first component of the Downtown <br /> Master Plan. It was indicated by the HRA that both presenters would provide <br /> certain traits and strengths through the process. Discussion was held regarding <br /> the minimal experience Theresa Washburn has had with larger communities. <br /> Discussion was also held regarding her enthusiasm and ability to generate that <br /> enthusiasm with the community. Discussion was held regarding Jim Brimeyer's <br /> experience with the City of Elk River in the Strategic Planning process and also <br /> his experience in working with downtown areas the size of the City of Elk River. <br /> • The HRA consented that it must consider the type of approach that the citizens <br /> and the downtown group is looking for. <br />
