HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br /> HELD AT THE ELK RIVER CITY HALL <br /> MONDAY, MAY 27, 1997 <br /> Members Present: Chair Schuldt, Commissioners Kropuenske, Hinkle, Farber and <br /> Wilson <br /> Members Absent: None <br /> Staff Present: Paul Steinman, Executive Director; Pat Klaers, City Administrator; <br /> Debbie Kleckner, Recording Secretary <br /> 1. Call Meeting To Order <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River Housing and <br /> Redevelopment Authority was called to order at 5:00 p.m. by Chair Schuldt. <br /> 2. Consider May 27, 1997 HRA Agenda <br /> COMMISSIONER WILSON MOVED TO APPROVE THE MAY 27, 1997, HRA AGENDA AS <br /> PRESENTED. COMMISSIONER HINKLE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br /> CARRIED 5-0. <br /> • 3. Consider Consent Agenda <br /> COMMISSIONER KROPUENSKE MOVED TO APPROVE THE CONSENT AGENDA AS <br /> FOLLOWS: <br /> 3.1. 3/24/97 HRA MINUTES-APPROVED <br /> 3.2. CHECK REGISTER-APPROVED <br /> COMMISSIONER WILSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 4. Open Mike <br /> There was no one present for Open Mike. <br /> 5. Business Items <br /> 5.1. Discuss Progress on Kina and Main Project <br /> Request for Proposals- Paul discussed with the EDA the possibility of letting <br /> another Request For Proposals (RFP) for the King and Main Street site. Paul <br /> indicated Mr. Dennis Chuba has expressed his desire for the city to pursue <br /> proposals from other developers. He indicated the HRA will need to decide <br /> whether to wait for Denny Chuba to come forward with a project or seek other <br /> developers who may be interested in the site. Paul indicated the site had an <br /> assessed value of approximately$225,000 ($7 a square foot). Discussion followed <br /> regarding the likelihood of the HRA receiving another offer at this price. <br />
