The
Kelley Farm is seeking to establish the non-profit for use by the water tower
subcommittee that will be transitioned at a later date for their use. The Kelley Farm
has been receptive of the idea and needs to check with their accountant to ensure
compliance. They expect to receive his approval in August. Vice Chair Mortensen
asked if the non-profit organization will be able to receive donations after the
project. Mr. Carlton stated that once the non-profit is transitioned to another use by
the Kelley Farm we would no longer be able to utilize the status for our purposes.
Mr. Carlton will research establishing a non-profit for the purpose of accepting
future donations for other Commission projects.
