4' --- <br /> Elk River . <br /> Municipal Utilities UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br /> TO: FROM: <br /> Elk River Municipal Utilities Commission Tom Sagstetter- Conservation and Key Accounts <br /> John Dietz—Chair Manager <br /> Al Nadeau—Vice Chair <br /> Daryl Thompson—Trustee <br /> MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br /> September 8`h, 2015 6.1f <br /> SUBJECT: <br /> Staff Update <br /> DISCUSSION: <br /> • Worked with the Elk River EDA and Sherburne County to provide detailed electric and <br /> water utility information for a possible large industrial customer that is evaluating the <br /> purchase of the County land on Mississippi Road. <br /> • Sponsored and participated in a panel discussion about energy efficiency in commercial <br /> buildings. The half day conference was titled Energy Summit and was part of the <br /> continuing education program sponsored by Midwest Real Estate News. There were over <br /> 30 commercial brokers in attendance. The panel discussion included representatives <br /> from Xcel Energy, Dakota Electric Cooperative, Lunds/Byerlys, and the St. Paul Port <br /> Authority. The City of Elk River Economic Development Authority and ERMU split the <br /> sponsorship fee for this event. <br /> • Attended the MMUA Summer Conference. The sessions were very informative <br /> especially in the areas of the Clean Power Plan and renewable energy.
