Recommend,by motion, approval of the ordinance amending the City of Elk River zoning map to <br /> rezone certain Outlot F, Elk Path Business Center, from R-1c (Single-Family Residential) to BP <br /> (Business Park). <br /> Background/Discussion <br /> Case Nos. LU 15-06 and ZC 15-09 <br /> City and county staff have been working together to position county property adjacent to the Sherburne <br /> County Government Center for a data center.As part of that discussion, the remainder of Outlot F, Elk <br /> Path Business Center, must be rezoned from R-1c to BP. The city recently completed a similar process, <br /> but increased interest in the property shows a need to rezone the entire parcel. <br /> In order to accommodate the proposed rezoning, the <br /> underlying land use must be amended to reflect the <br /> proposed rezoning. Outlot F is currently guided for <br /> Public/Institutional uses and does not permit industrial uses. <br /> The proposal changes Outlot F to Industrial in order to <br /> accommodate future use as a Business Park. <br /> limiThe adjacent map shows the proposed area,in yellow, to be <br /> rezoned to Business Park.
