• MEETING OF THE ELK RIVER HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY HELD AT THE ELK RIVER CITY HALL MONDAY, NOVEMBER 22, 1993 Members Present: Chair Hinkle, Commissioners Schuldt and Toth Members Absent: Commissioners Duitsman and Kropuenske Staff Present: Bill Rubin, Economic Development Coordinator 1. Call Meeting To Order Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River Housing and Redevelopment Authority was called to order at 6:08 p.m. by Chair Hinkle. 2. Consider 11/22/93 HRA Agenda COMMISSIONER TOTH MOVED TO APPROVE THE 11/22/93 HRA AGENDA. COMMISSIONER SCHULDT SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 3-0. 3. Consider 9/7/93 HRA Minutes COMMISSIONER TOTH MOVED TO APPROVE THE 9/7/93 HRA MINUTES. COMMISSIONER SCHULDT SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 3-0. 4. Open Mike No one appeared for this item. 5. Consider Contract for Private Development with The Chuba Company Bill Rubin explained that it is in order for the Elk River HRA to execute a Contract for Private Development with The Chuba Company in order for the company to be reimbursed for demolition and site preparation costs associated with the office/townhouse project at Main Street and Freeport Avenue. The City of Elk River will also be executing this Contract for Private Development. In addition, Mr. Dennis Chuba, owner of The Chuba Company, will be guaranteeing performance of his company. Pursuant to the Contract, the Elk River HRA will fund 50% of the demolition and site preparation costs, up to a maximum cost of $25,000. This action was approved at the HRA's September 7, 1993, meeting. COMMISSIONER SCHULDT MOVED TO APPROVE THE CONTRACT FOR PRIVATE DEVELOPMENT WITH THE CHUBA COMPANY AND AUTHORIZED CHAIR HINKLE TO SIGN IT ON BEHALF OF THE HRA. COMMISSIONER TOTH SECONDED THE MOTION.
