Call Meeting To Order <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River Planning <br /> Commission was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Chair Pederson. <br /> 2. Consider Mav 8, 2001 Agenda <br /> COMMISSIONER FRANZ MOVED TO APPROVE THE MAY 8, 2001 PLANNING <br /> COMMISSION AGENDA. COMMISSIONER SCHUSTER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br /> MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 3. Downtown Master Plan-Workshop <br /> Executive Director Cathy Mehelich explained that last fall the HRA authorized <br /> staff to draft a downtown redevelopment plan. The plan focuses on <br /> redevelopment and rehabilitation areas, to serve as a guideline for new <br /> development as well as improvements in the downtown. Phase 1 consisted of an <br /> inventory of the properties, basic assessment of property values and historic <br /> significance. This information was compiled into a spreadsheet and map. Phase <br />
