ERX is a yearround <br />complex hosting snowmobile events in the winter and car, truck, ATV and gocart racing in the summer <br />months. <br /> <br />In order to complete their proposed and future projects, they need several ordinance amendments <br />approved. These include: <br />Ordinance Amendments <br /> <br />1.Definitions <br /> <br />a.Off-road racing <br /> <br />b.Water sports facility <br /> <br />c.Limited stay lodging <br /> <br />d.Parking, overflow event <br /> <br />e.Active use storage <br /> <br />2.XCR signage <br /> <br />3.XCR principal structures <br /> <br />4.XCR accessory structures <br /> <br />Planning Commission <br />The commission reviewed these applications during a special meeting on July 14, 2015. No one spoke at <br />the public hearing and no concerns were raised by the commission regarding the requests. <br /> <br />The commission agreed the proposal would be a great asset/draw for Elk River and would like to see it <br />happen. They felt the amendments supported the proposed multiple uses. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval of all the requests. <br /> <br />Financial Impact <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
